Proposal Sessions

 

This session is about capturing the raw, once-in-a-lifetime moment when everything changes. From the nerves beforehand to the joy immediately after, I'll document your proposal as it naturally unfolds. After you've had some time to take it all in, we'll transition into an engagement-style mini session to capture you both and the ring. Coverage typically lasts about 1 hour, depending on your plan, and includes at least 40 final images. This session includes 24 hour sneak peeks and a turnaround time of 3-5 weeks. Step 01

 

Reach Out

Go to my Contact page to send a contact form on my website. And no--you do not need to have a location, time, or date set in stone to contact me, but we can't go past Step 2 until those are set in stone.

Step 02

 

Plan

This is where we set the details, understand the vision, and plan! You'll start with a questionnaire, so I can get to know you and what you're dreaming up. Then, I'll send you over your final quote to review. I ask for 50% at booking, and the remaining 50% after our session. Once the quote and questionnaire are finished, you'll receive a contract to sign, and then you're officially booked!

Prepare

Living on the rock, it is so important to prep for your session! Some ways you can prepare for your session include having outfits ready, hair and makeup planned, double check date and time, double check location, and prepare any props or personal items. I will check in with you throughout this time, but don't hesitate to reach out if you have any questions or concerns.

Step 04

 

Session Day

My favorite day! Session day consists of meeting at our planned location at the set time, shooting for the duration of the chosen time, getting creative, and capturing those authentic moments.

Step 05

 

Getting Your Gallery

My second favorite day! Depending on the season and the type of session, my current turnaround time is 3-5 weeks. Photos are delivered through a digital gallery link sent straight to your email. You are able to send this link to anyone you'd like, but they must have a PIN to download the images. Only you and I have control of who receives this PIN.

What is the difference between the proposal session and the engagement session?

Proposal sessions capture the exact moment everything changes. I will photograph the proposal as it unfolds naturally, then transition into a short engagement style mini session once you have had time to soak it all in. This allows for a blend of candid moments and gently guided portraits that reflect the love and excitement of the day. Proposal sessions include 24 hour sneak peeks, while engagement sessions include 48 hour sneak peeks. Engagement sessions are ideal for couples who have already popped the question and want to document this romantic, nostalgic season together.

This is my first photoshoot, what should I know?

Not comfortable in front of the camera? No worries! I am a flexible and casual person, and I will work with you throughout our session. The most important thing for you to do is to communicate with me. We'll go over your vision for your gallery, what you're not comfortable with, and what to bring.

Are the travel expenses included in your packages?

I am based in Kodiak, Alaska, and travel expenses are covered if I am able to arrive at your desired location by car. Travel by air, boat, or hike is not included in my pricing. Please inquire for travel in AK, WA, OR, and FL.

How long does it take to receive the final photos?

My current turnaround time is 3-6 weeks. Engagement sessions include 48 hour sneak peeks, and proposals, elopements, and micro weddings include 24 hour sneak peeks.

Can I order prints or albums through you?

At this time, I do not offer prints and albums.
